De positieve kritieken op dit derde album van de uit Rachel Unthank & The Winterset afkomstige Jackie Oates waren in de UK eindeloos; ze won er maar liefst twee prestigieuze BBC Folk Awards mee. Enigszins vergelijkbaar met, maar minder ver gaand dan, haar broer Jim Moray (hier aanwezig als producer en gitarist), hevelt ze met heldere stem Folk-songs over naar een nieuwe tijd. Songs door een waar talent, die evenveel een lentebries door Cambridge als een herfstregen over Nottingham in zich hebben. Inclusief een verrassende cover van The Sugarcubes hit « Birthday » !
